Teaching two-wheeled cycling to individuals with a cognitive disability.

In 2013, 7 amazing youth and their families participated in a research study. This research was supported by the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute (WCHRI) and received ethics approval through the University of Alberta. The purpose of our study was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive strategies when teaching two-wheeled cycling to children with cognitive delays.

The results were later published in Pediatric Physical Therapy and integrated into the Learn to Ride curriculum. The video below is a teaser for the poster presenting this research, and the paper itself is linked below.
